Paying bright tributes to Legend Spinner Muttiah Muralitharan, who had quit from Test cricket, former India captain and star batsman of Kolcutta Knight Riders Sourav Ganguly said he would rate the Sri Lankan a tougher spinner to face than his long-time contestant Australian Shane Warne captain of Rajasthan Royals.
“I don’t feel like to get into judgment but I would rather Warne. Murali is 
more perfect and has more difference so tougher to face,” said Ganguly. Ganguly termed Muralitharan’s Test departure after his closing test against India at Galley as end of an era.
“Shane Warne, Anil Kumble had previously retired and now Muralitharan, it is an end of spinning bowling era, His record will be very hard to break, he has been a great chapter in Sri Lankan cricket, having reigned highest for more than 15 years. He is hard to be compared with anybody,” Ganguly felt like other great cricketers of the past, Muralitharan decide to quit when he was at the peak of his career.
“All great players should quit when they are at peak. It’s really a good way to offer farewell to Test cricket after taking 800 wickets in Tests. Sunil Gavaskar, Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath all called it quits in prime of their own careers. I am sure when Sachin Tendulkar decides to go, he too will go on peak,” said Ganguly.

Muralitharan still have a lot of cricket left in him and hoped he would carry on playing in T20 formats. “I am sure he will play one-day, IPL and county cricket. Without Muralitharan the Sri Lankan side in remaining two Tests, India, down 0-1 in the three-match series, would respire simple.
“It will be easier for Indian skippers in the next two Tests. Apart from Lasith Malinga, Sri Lanka has no additional strike bowler. But for India to seek the win, they have to obtain 20 wickets,” Ganguly said.
Pakistani left arm stylish fast bowler Sohail Tanvir has said that the miles stone achieved by Sri Lankan off spinner, Muttiah Muralitharan, is great and an unparallel record. Muttiah Muralitharan has become the first-ever bowler who claimed his 800 victims in the first test against India on Friday. “I have no doubt in my mind he is the best spinner of his generation,” Sohail said.
“You can discover a lot from just watching him bowl and his videos are a must see for young spinners. To be sincere I don’t think in the next 800 years, cricket is going to see a spinner of his level,” Sohail said, who himself is a big fan of Muralitharan.
“Murali is simply tremendous and his record speaks for him. I don’t think any other bowler would come even close to Muralitharan’s record”.

However he also expressed his views about the second test match between Pakistan and Australia. The England cricket conditions best go with the Pakistani fast bowlers where they can take a gain and score an easy win. But they should not also take the Australians easy.
The fast bowler, who has started practicing on his batting said that after his elbow operation, he has become 80% fit now. “After one month I will be fully fit and will start bowling practice,” he added.
